2023 Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle

When you think about St. Patrick’s Day in Chicago, you think about all of the city’s celebrations, the green-dyed river, and one other annual event – The Shamrock Shuffle.

The Shamrock Shuffle is an 8-kilometer (almost 5 miles) race held in Chicago, which started in 1980. The race is held annually during celebrations of St. Patrick’s Day. The first race was run through Lincoln Park on Chicago’s near North Side with an estimated 1,000 participants.

The number of walkers and runners, from elite athletes to beginner runners, has grown substantially with more than 20,000 participants going shamrock green in 2022!

This fun-filled weekend consists of the 8K Run, 2-Mile Walk, The Mile, and the Virtual 8K.
