Daylight saving time

Daylight saving time (DST) wait is almost over for those who cherish it. This happens twice a year. The first phase of DST is before spring. Therefore, clocks are increased by 1 hour. The second phase is in fall. Therefore, clocks will go back 1 hour. Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 2:00 a.m. is the set date for Daylight saving time. So, when the clock strike 2:00 A.M. it will change to 3:00 A.M. DST will end Sunday, November 4, 2018.

Introduction to Daylight saving time

In 1908, daylight saving time was first implemented in Ontario, Canada. In 1916, Germany was the first to switch to DST. Introduction of DST came to the United States in 1918. They referred to DST as “fast time”. In addition, not all 50 states switched to DST in 1918. The state of Indiana switched to daylight saving time in 2006. Indiana performed a study on DST. As a result, the use of energy did not decline in Indiana. The use of energy had increased.
